We are extremely grateful to the Champion Trainer and all his team for their efforts. Oaksey House (Injured Jockeys) is open in Lambourn all morning. Parking there is on tarmac.
We are extremely sorry to all those planning a day with us and for all the confusion and updates. We have tried our utmost to save what we could. We are all gutted at being unable to welcome you for a full, fun, sunny day, especially after months of planning. As you will appreciate the weather has been atrocious, and it is simply that all the car parks, except Seven Barrows, are completely unusable.
If you are unable to come but would like to support our Charity, which works for the welfare of our hard working stable staff, the excellent Silent Auction is available on this site until 1 p.m. on Good Friday. There are some unique items at very reasonable prices.
Programmes are available for £7, (£5 plus £2 postage). They are full of articles, photographs and have details of all the Trainers and their horses. Please apply with a cheque and your address to: Mark Smyly, Raceyard Cottage, Kingston Lisle, Wantage OX12 9QH
We hope that you have a very Happy Easter.
The Peter O'Sullivan Lambourn Open Day 2018 will take place on the 30th March 2018
The Lambourn Open Day is a unique opportunity to see the horses in the training establishments throughout the Lambourn Valley. More than 30 trainers open their yards to the public and over 10,000 visitors take the opportunity to meet the horses, the trainers and to really see first hand the Lambourn racing industry. Many yards have special exhibits and some demonstrations including horses using hydrotherapy pools.
In the afternoon the massive events field with its central arena opens with a full programme of equine and country related shows and demonstrations of country skills. Trade stands offer all manner of goods and services generally connected to country pursuits. Children's activities are also available and there are many different places where food is available.
