 Lambourn Festival CAR-khana, 15th August The Old Cricket Field off the Upper Lambourn Road was the place to be on Sunday, 15th August for the CAR-khana. Why CAR-khana? Well, we have to make sure it’s only 4 wheeled objects which are entered, might have been 4 legs if we called it a Gymkhana! Another difference is that instead of one person there can be any number taking part, up to the limit of the vehicles’ seating capacity – ideal for a family day out. Activities may be at a more sedate pace such as judging the gap which your car can drive through or carrying a bucket of water round a course without spilling any. There will also be the odd test down to the speed of the driver round a course marked out by pylons, that’s if the crew can tell the driver where to go! The activities start at 1pm.
