25.Baydon House

Baydon House High Street, Lambourn

Baydon House was burned down in the early 1980's. Along with College House next door, which was in disrepair, it was subsequently renovated by Sovereign Housing.  It became one of the best Elderly Residents housing complexes in the area, with flats and bungalows  built in the gardens.  Every year the residents looked forward to laying out tables for tea in the garden and the house.   The Carnival was the highlight of their year.
