History

The history of Lambourn and the surrounding countryside is a fascinating journey back through time. Starting with the earliest evidence of man's inhabitation of the area such as at Waylands Smithy or the Seven Barrows. The White Horse chalk figure just below the Ridgeway ancient path close to Lambourn is one of the most famous landmarks in the area.
